The Gift of Faith In Our Weakest Moments

The faith God has given us is the reason we know that everything that we have is a gift from God.  But we struggle with our own prideful sense of thinking that our stuff belongs to us because we earned it without acknowledging that without God we would not be able to even breathe.  That pride shows itself when we get upset when we don’t get what we expect or want. We see it in ourselves and in our children. It is the leprosy of sin that we struggle with.

You Are More When Obeying is Hard is a book about Mark. He is in trouble because he disobeyed his mom. Jesus shows him through the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that God makes it possible for us to obey, even when it is hard.

Mark wants to obey his Mom because he knows how much Jesus loves him. I love for kids to hear Bible  stories like the three men in the fiery furnace and see that they also have the power from God to do the right thing.
